Canva and Figma both live in the design category, but the pricing pages describe different buyers. Canva sells a creation suite per person per year: Free at $0 with drag-and-drop editing, 1,000+ design types, 1.6M+ templates, 4.7M+ stock assets, one three-color Brand Kit and 5GB of storage; Pro at US$144 a year adds 3.6M templates, 141M+ premium assets, 5 Brand Kits, social scheduling, 100GB and an AI allowance described as 10x Canva Free's.
TL;DR
Canva is priced per person per year: Free at $0 with 1.6M+ templates and 5GB storage, Pro at US$144 a year with 3.6M templates, 141M+ premium assets, 5 Brand Kits and 100GB, Business at US$250 a year per person with 100 Brand Kits, approvals, 500GB and Leonardo.Ai and Flourish access; Enterprise is custom with SSO and SCIM. Figma prices by seat type: Professional lists a full seat at $16 per month, a dev seat at $12 and a collab seat at $3, with Organization at $55/$25/$5 billed annually and Enterprise at $90/$35/$5. Canva is built for teams that assemble designs from templates and brand kits; Figma is built for product teams designing in files with components, libraries and Dev Mode handoff, and its seat model lets non-designers pay less than full editors.
Figma sells a design platform per seat per month. The Professional tier lists a full seat at $16, a dev seat at $12 and a collab seat at $3, with unlimited files and projects, team-wide design libraries and an AI credit allowance of 3,000 per month on the full seat. Organization (billed annually) moves those seats to $55, $25 and $5, and Enterprise to $90, $35 and $5 with 4,250 AI credits on the full seat.
The seat split is Figma's main structural difference: designers who edit pay full price, while developers inspecting in Dev Mode and stakeholders reviewing pay $12 and $3 on the Professional tier. Canva's answer to mixed teams is simpler and flatter: everyone pays the same per-person annual rate, and the Business tier at US$250 per person adds approvals, 100 Brand Kits and access to Leonardo.Ai and Flourish. Canva's page also notes that Canva Teams is no longer available for new sign-ups, with Business as its successor.

Pick Canva if
For US$144 a year per person you get a huge template and stock library, brand kits, scheduling and print exports in one flat rate. If the people making designs are marketers, founders or social teams rather than product designers, Canva's per-person pricing is both cheaper and closer to the work.
Pick Figma if
Figma's file-and-component model, team libraries and Dev Mode inspection exist for product teams, and its split seat pricing means reviewers and developers do not pay full editor rates. The $16 full seat is more expensive per person than Canva Pro, but it buys a workflow Canva's template system does not attempt.
We did not survey users or aggregate third-party reviews for this pair. Every statement above comes from Canva's and Figma's own pricing pages as published on the date shown; Canva's yearly figures are the annual prices its page displays.
Canva Business is US$250 per person per year, so $1,250 for five people annually. Figma Professional would be roughly $16 per full editor and $3 per collab seat per month, which is far less if only one or two people edit and the rest review; it is comparable or more once everyone needs an editing seat.
Figma has community files and templates, but its product center is designing in files with components, libraries and developer handoff. Canva's 1.6M+ templates on Free and 3.6M+ on Pro are the core of its workflow.
Professional lists a full seat at $16 per month for editors, a dev seat at $12 for Dev Mode inspection and a collab seat at $3 for viewing and commenting. The Organization tier prices the same three seat types at $55, $25 and $5 with annual billing.
No. Canva describes an AI allowance per tier: Free covers up to 200 Standard AI uses or 20 Premium AI uses, Pro offers 10x Free's allowance, and Business 20x, with higher-tier tools consuming more of the allowance. An AI Pass add-on exists for more.
Canva's pricing page states that Canva Teams is no longer available for new sign-ups or upgrades; existing Teams customers stay on their current plan, and new team features land on Business.
Figma lists a free entry tier for individuals. For teams, its paid tiers carry the collaboration features (team libraries, admin tools) that mixed-seat pricing is designed around.
